Mosques in the Sultanate of Oman will resume Friday prayers, after being suspended for 18 months

Tomorrow, Friday prayers will return in the mosques of the Sultanate of Oman, after a hiatus that lasted for about a year and a half due to the Corona pandemic. According to a press release.


With the joy of the masses of worshipers of this decision and the good tidings of the gradual decline of the Corona virus and the return to normal life, it requires everyone to follow the preventive and precautionary measures and controls.


The Supreme Committee in charge of examining a mechanism for dealing with developments resulting from the spread of the Corona virus (Covid 19), in the context of its continuous convening, has followed up on the developments of this pandemic, measures to prevent it, and ways to avoid its spread, and to deal with its various effects.


The committee studied the consequences of the pandemic on private sector institutions and the measures required to support the sustainability of their work and enhance their ability to adapt to exceptional situations, and took several decisions, all of which are in the interest of the Omani citizen.
