The death toll from the Al-Hussein Hospital fire in Iraq has risen to 64

Today, Tuesday, the Iraqi city of Dhi Qar announced that the number of victims of the Al-Hussein Teaching Hospital fire has risen to 64 dead and 50 injured, according to the Iraqi National Agency.

It is noteworthy that a fire broke out yesterday evening in the isolation center for Corona patients within the main building of Al-Hussein Teaching Hospital in central Nasiriyah, killing dozens.

In turn, the Bahraini Foreign Ministry expressed sincere condolences and sympathy to the Iraqi government and people for the victims of the fire accident, stressing Bahrain's solidarity with the Iraqi government and people in this painful affliction, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.

The Iraqi Parliament’s Health and Environment Committee condemned the negligence and negligence that led to a fire in Imam Al-Hussein Hospital, calling on the Prime Minister to open an urgent investigation and to involve the committee in the investigation, and to impose the most severe penalties on anyone proven to be negligent and negligent in providing safety requirements in the hospital.

For his part, the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, directed the Minister of Health of the Region to provide all necessary assistance to the injured.

Barzani wrote, on his account on the social networking site "Twitter", "In solidarity with the people of Dhi Qar and the whole country for what we saw of painful images following the disaster of the fire of the isolation center, I extend my sincere condolences to the families of the victims."

The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs affirmed the Kingdom's solidarity with Iraq in the incident of the Al Hussein Hospital fire in the Iraqi province of Dhi Qar, and the ministry's spokesperson, Ambassador Daifallah Al-Fayez, expressed, in a statement today, Tuesday, the Kingdom's condolences to the families of the victims, and wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured.
