Sebastian Larsson retires from international football with Sweden

The captain of the Swedish national football team, Sebastian Larsson, announced today, Friday, his retirement from playing with the national team, after 13 years in which he played 133 international matches.

"This is the most difficult decision in my career," the 36-year-old posted on his Instagram account.

Larsson became the player with the most matches with the Swedish national team, behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Larsson's international retirement came weeks after his country was eliminated from the Euro final after losing to Ukraine by two goals to one.
