Reports: Chelsea are ready to pay 175 million euros to kidnap Haaland from Dortmund

English press reports revealed, today, Saturday, that the English club Chelsea expressed its willingness to pay 175 million euros to obtain the services of striker Erling Haaland, player of the German club Borussia Dortmund.

According to the English newspaper "Mirror", if the deal is completed with this return, it will be the second most expensive deal for the transfer of a player after the transfer of Brazilian Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain for 222 million euros.

The newspaper quoted Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc, who confirmed that he still sees the future of Haaland 20 years in Dortmund, and told the German newspaper “Bild”, saying, “Nothing has changed, and we are setting our plans for next season on the basis of Erling’s presence.”

Haaland, the attacking midfielder, is linked to the German Cup-winning club with a contract that runs until the end of June 2024, and the contract includes an exit clause in 2022.

The Norwegian international scored 40 goals in 43 matches with Dortmund.

And the English club Chelsea is in dire need to sign a striker during the current summer transfers, as German coach Thomas Tuchel is keen to sign the young star Erling Haaland, however, Borussia Dortmund is reluctant to lose the Norwegian international.

Chelsea have been quiet in the current transfer window despite winning the Champions League, but one target in front of the club is Haaland, but the Blues are not the only ones, with most of Europe's top clubs chasing the Borussia Dortmund star.

After scoring 41 goals in 41 games, Thomas Tuchel desperately seeks to bring the striker to "Stamford Bridge", but the London club knows very well that its price will not be less than 150 million pounds.
