Gold prices in Egypt and the global stock exchange witnessed an increase over the past 48 hours due to the decline in the US bond yield, but prices began to decline on the last day of this week.

The rise, stability or decline of gold is related to facts, events, reports and economic data, as it is expected today, Friday, July 16, to announce the monetary policy report issued by the Bank of Japan, the core consumer price index for the euro area and US retail sales, and this will chart the movement of gold during the coming hours at the market closing time.

Gold prices made gains to reach a month high yesterday, after US Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell calmed concerns about an early easing of monetary support, which led to a drop in the dollar and US Treasury yields.

Testifying before the US Congress, Powell said the labor market is "still a long way off" from the progress the central bank wants to see before reducing its support for the economy, adding that the currently high inflation will drop soon.
