Copa America .. Concerns about the possibility of Godin catching up with Uruguay against Colombia

Uruguay national football team defender Diego Godin has become a source of concern for the coaching staff due to fears that he will not catch up with Colombia, scheduled for next Saturday in the Copa America quarter-final.

The Italian Cagliari player and captain of the Celeste national team is still under medical observation due to the injury he suffered during the match against Paraguay, according to the Uruguayan Football Association.

In that match, which was held last Monday in the first group competitions of the championship, Godin was playing in the first half before being substituted in the break, and he appeared in the second half on the bench, putting snow on his leg.

Therefore, yesterday, Wednesday, the defender performed special exercises on the sidelines of the team's group training in preparation for the match against Colombia.

The team coached by Oscar Washington Tabarez will return to training again Thursday in Brasilia to continue preparations for the match that will be held at Mane Garrincha Stadium in the Brazilian capital.
