Chelsea sacrifices French Giroud to kidnap Erling Haaland

English club Chelsea is in dire need of a striker during the current summer transfer period, as German coach Thomas Tuchel is keen to sign young star Erling Haaland, however, Borussia Dortmund is reluctant to lose the Norwegian international.

Chelsea have been quiet in the current transfer window despite winning the Champions League, but one target in front of the club is Haaland, but the Blues are not the only ones, with most of Europe's top clubs chasing the Borussia Dortmund star.

After scoring 41 goals in 41 games, Thomas Tuchel desperately seeks to bring the striker to "Stamford Bridge", but the London club knows very well that its price will not be less than 150 million pounds.

And the English newspaper "Express" reported that the approach of the veteran French Olivier Giroud to join Milan after an agreement between all parties, for 1.7 million pounds, is a great indication that the Blues are close to contracting with a striker, while Haaland is negotiating.

Giroud signed a one-year contract extension earlier this summer, but that was simply done to protect his value before leaving, at a time when Chelsea currently only have two strikers, Timo Werner and Tammy Abraham.

The newspaper pointed out that Chelsea's failure to sign players so far also indicates that he is planning a high-caliber deal, and this deal will largely be Haaland.

The 20-year-old has many offers from clubs around the world, but his biggest ambition is to win the Champions League.
