Afghan Defense: Dozens of Taliban were killed and wounded in air strikes and battles

On Sunday, the Afghan Ministry of Defense confirmed that at least 53 Taliban militants were killed and 38 others were wounded in air strikes and multiple battles in Afghanistan.

According to the Russia Today website, the ministry revealed in a statement that "18 militants were killed and 24 others were wounded, in the eastern Kapisa province, after the Afghan Air Force launched air strikes in support of the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces in the neighboring suburbs of Tageb and Najarab," noting that "from Among the dead were three Taliban leaders.

And it announced that "20 Taliban fighters were killed and eight others wounded, during a clearing operation carried out by the Ground Self-Defense Forces on the outskirts of Lashkar Gah, the capital of the southern Helmand province," stressing that "15 Taliban militants were killed and six others were wounded in the northern province of Balkh, as a result of an air strike by the forces."
