4 killed, 9 injured in a suicide car bomb attack in the Somali capital Mogadishu

The extremist "Al-Shabab" movement in Somalia claimed responsibility for the suicide attack, which targeted the police chief of Banadir Governorate, based in the capital, Mogadishu, today, Saturday, which led to deaths and injuries, according to statements by the security authorities, according to "Russia Today Network".

Police spokesman Sadiq Aden confirmed, according to Russia Today, that the explosion, which was carried out by a car bomb, targeted the convoy of Banadir Governorate Police Commander, Farhan Muhammad Adam, known as Farhan Qaruli, near Banadir Hospital in Mogadishu.

The attack left four dead and at least nine wounded, while Qarouli managed to escape, while Reuters quoted eyewitnesses as confirming that at least eight people were killed, including a woman.

And the media confirmed the presence of members of the security services among the victims of the bombing, adding that the police chief was riding in an armored car, which saved his life.
