31 killed, injured in clashes in central Afghanistan


Afghan sources announced today, Tuesday, that 17 Taliban militants, seven members of the pro-government force and two civilians were killed during separate clashes in Negrab district in central Kapisa province.


Negrab district chief Abdul Quddus Mujadidi said - in a statement to the Afghan "Bajvak" news agency - that Taliban insurgents and pro-government forces clashed in Nigrab district.


He added that the clashes resulted in the killing of 17 Taliban fighters, seven members of the pro-government force and two civilians, one of whom was a woman, while five other pro-government forces were wounded in the clashes.
