The moment Ramos cried at Real Madrid's farewell conference

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos broke down in tears with his first words during the press conference, which was held this afternoon, in the presence of Florentino Perez, the president of the Royal, to bid farewell to the club in which he spent 16 years full of achievements and records.

Ramos could not contain his nerves, and shed tears as he climbed to the podium of the press conference, to bid farewell to Real Madrid.

And Real Madrid announced yesterday evening, Wednesday, the departure of Sergio Ramos, the historical leader of the royal team, after 16 years inside the walls of the “Santiago Bernabeu”.

"I would like to thank the president, the coaches, my team-mates and the club's staff," Ramos said at a press conference. "I have been here for many years. Thanks to Real Madrid, I have always been motivated. Real Madrid will always be in my heart."

"I would have liked to say goodbye to Real Madrid with the fans in the stadium," added the Real Madrid captain.

He continued, “It is one of the hardest moments of my life, I came from my father’s hand (crying), I was a child when I came, and today I have a wonderful family, I want to thank you.”

Ramos added, "22 titles with a lot of effort, sacrifice and dedication, a great stage is coming to an end, and nothing will be like I lived here."

He continued, "I won't say goodbye, I'll say goodbye and someday I'll come back here sooner or later."

Sergio Ramos described his farewell to Real Madrid at the conference, saying, "This is the most difficult moment in my life."
