59 million pounds, net purchases of Arabs on the Egyptian Stock Exchange during 5 sessions


Egyptians’ transactions recorded 86.3% of the total transactions on shares listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange, during the last week’s sessions. Foreigners accounted for 7.9%, and Arabs 5.8%, after excluding deals, according to the weekly report of the Egyptian Stock Exchange, and foreigners recorded net selling. In the Egyptian Stock Exchange, a value of 201.8 million pounds, while the Arabs recorded a net purchase of 59.3 million pounds, after excluding deals.

 

Egyptians’ transactions represented 81.6% of the trading value of listed shares since the beginning of the year after excluding deals, while foreigners recorded 11.4%, Arabs recorded 7%, and foreigners recorded net sales on the Egyptian Stock Exchange since the beginning of the year with a value of 1.95 billion pounds, while Arabs continued to record a net purchase of about 450.2 million pounds, on the listed shares, after excluding deals since the beginning of the year.

 

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” decreased by 1.83% to close at the level of 10054.81 points, during the sessions of the last week, while the index of small and medium stocks “EGX 70 of equal weights” rose by 4.88% to close at the level of 2334.24 points, and the “EGX70” index recorded The EGX 100 of equal weights rose by 3.23%, to close at 3,251.86 points, and the EGX30 index of weights, which decreased by 1.73%, closed at 12,474.68 points, and the Nile Stock Exchange index fell by 1.13% to close at 1229.93 points.

 

The market capitalization of the Egyptian Stock Exchange fell by about 3.5 billion pounds during the sessions of the last week, the first week of June, to close at 648.6 billion pounds, a decrease of 0.5%, and the market capitalization of the main index decreased from 334.9 billion pounds to 329.5 billion pounds, with a rate of A decline of 1.6 percent, while the capital of the small and medium stock index increased from 111.3 billion pounds to 111.4 billion pounds, with a growth rate of 0.01%.

 

The capital of the broader index also declined from 446.2 billion pounds to 440.9 billion pounds, a decrease of 1.2%, and the market capital of the Nile Exchange fell from 1.01 billion pounds to 1.1 billion pounds, a growth of 0.5%.
