United Nations: Send 120,000 doses of Corona vaccine from the Kovacs facility to Libya

Stefan Dujarric, spokesman for the Secretary-General of the United Nations, stated that the national authorities in Libya are working to accelerate the vaccination program against Corona after the arrival of a shipment of approximately 120,000 doses of vaccines supported by the COVAX facility. This second batch will be used for priority groups, and it will also be given to people. Who have already received the first dose.

Dujarric explained, according to the national plan, eligible immigrants will also benefit from the vaccines, adding that the United Nations team is working closely with national authorities to prepare, receive and send all Corona vaccines.

For its part, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) provided more than 70 refrigerators to enhance the capacity of the cold chain. It also provides isolation centers and triage facilities and the World Health Organization, for its part, provides technical advice to health authorities, as well as medicines, equipment and laboratory supplies.
