The Minister of Tourism reviews health safety measures and controls to face the repercussions of the Corona crisis

Dr. Khaled Al-Anani, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, inaugurated today the Egyptian pavilion participating in the activities of the 28th edition of the Arab Forum for Tourism and Travel (ATM 2021), which will be held from May 16-19 in the Emirate of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in the presence of Ashraf Al Deeb, the Egyptian General Consul in Dubai, who accompanies Minister during his visit in Dubai.


During the opening, the Minister and the Consul toured the Egyptian Pavilion participating in the exhibition.


Dr. Khaled Al-Anani explained that participation in this exhibition is a good opportunity to exchange experiences and communicate effectively with all stakeholders in the field of tourism and travel and the partners of the profession in the Arab market to discuss the promotion of means of tourism cooperation, especially since the Arab rapprochement opens wide horizons for cooperation between Arab countries with its implications and returns. Positive in stimulating the intra-regional tourism movement between Arab countries and each other.


The minister added that this exhibition is an ideal platform to attract the attention of visitors to Egypt, pointing out that the Arab market is one of the most important tourist markets in Egypt, as it accounted for more than 20% of inbound tourism to Egypt before the Coronavirus crisis.


He pointed out that Egypt is an important destination for Arab tourists for many reasons, the most important of which is proximity to the distance, unity of language, cultures, and common customs. Moreover, Arab tourists feel in Egypt as if he is in his second homeland, and the same is the same feeling of Egyptians towards their brothers from Arab countries.


The minister talked about Egypt's various components and tourist attractions as an ideal tourist destination for those looking for a safe travel experience, especially in light of the ongoing global efforts to confront the repercussions of the Coronavirus crisis, presenting an overview of what Egypt is doing in terms of measures, procedures and controls for health safety to face the repercussions of this crisis. Which is applied in all tourist and hotel facilities, museums, and various archaeological and touristic sites, as well as training workers in the tourism sector on food safety and health programs.


Dr. Khaled Al-Anani explained that Egypt has an ideal tourist mix that offers all that the Arab tourist expects in his tourism experience, including open places, warm sun, scenic views and beaches, pointing out that Egypt is a distinguished tourist destination throughout the year, as it has various tourism products and has a wonderful weather throughout the year. .


The area of ​​the Egyptian pavilion participating in the exhibition is 305 square meters, and 14 exhibitors are participating, including the Misr Aviation Company, and a number of Egyptian hotels and tourism companies.


The pavilion contains display screens that shed light through some promotional films on a number of different destinations and tourism products in Egypt, and the most important archaeological discoveries and museums that have been opened recently such as the museums of Sharm el-Sheikh and Hurghada, in addition to displaying the "A Tourist Journey in Egypt" movie, and a group Footage and video clips of some important events and activities that Egypt witnessed during the recent period, including the Royal Mummies Procession event.


It is worth noting that the activities of the 28th session of the Arab Tourism Market ATM 2021 will be held at the Dubai World Trade Center in the Emirate of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates with the participation of 62 countries around the world. .
