An Afghan police chief was killed and 3 of his bodyguards were wounded in an explosion in Paktika province

Local officials in Afghanistan announced that the police chief of "Sar Rawda" district was killed in the eastern Paktika province, and three of his bodyguards were wounded in an explosion targeting his car.

The Afghan "Taloo News" channel reported today, Wednesday, that the accident occurred when the police chief was on his way to the "Deewana Baba" area to support the security forces, which were attacked by the Taliban, but his car was targeted by a roadside bomb.

No one has yet claimed responsibility for the explosion.

The "Taloo News" channel had reported in the early hours of this morning that one person was killed and three others were injured in a roadside bomb explosion targeting a bus carrying Ministry of Health workers in Kalkan province, north of the capital, Kabul.
