Iraqi Foreign Minister: We are still facing the terrorist organization ISIS



Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein said that his country is still facing the terrorist organization ISIS, and that any actions that harm the security and stability of Iraq will complicate the scene and divert priority from completing the pages of confrontation with the terrorist organization.


The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated - in a statement carried by the Iraqi National News Agency - that this came during Minister Fouad Hussein's visit today, Saturday, to Iran; Where he met with the Supreme Adviser for Iranian National Security, Ali Shamkhani, and Foreign Minister Muhammad Javad Zarif.


The Iraqi Minister conducted in-depth dialogues with them, including several files dealing with bilateral relations and security, as well as dealing with developments in the regional and international situation and its implications for the security and stability of Iraq and the region.


The Iraqi minister stressed - during his meeting with the Supreme Adviser for Iranian National Security - the importance of joint action to enhance security and stability in the region and dependence on everything that would reduce tension, in order to achieve the concept of collective security.


The minister also presented the most important steps taken by the government to facilitate banking transactions between the two sides in a way that is reflected in response to common interests.


In the context of his dialogue with his Iranian counterpart, Muhammad Javad Zarif, the Iraqi Foreign Minister discussed the regional situation and the new interactions that bear under the administration of the new president of the United States, while the two ministers affirmed the continuation of consultations on all issues of common interest in order to achieve the interests of the two peoples.
